Now that 2022 is here, it’s time to look forward to what is waiting just over the horizon. With a long list of highly anticipated titles, 2022 will surely be one of the biggest years for gaming. Some of the games we couldn’t get our hands on last year because of the delays are also coming out this year. Based on the trailers, studios took this extra time to work on the games even more and make the most of next-generation gaming systems.
What is great about 2022 is that there is something for everyone this year. There are long-awaited AAA titles such as Elden Ring coming. There are also indie darlings like OlliOlli World waiting to meet the gamers. While some PC games like Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War will get new entries, there are also brand-new adventures to be had like Elden Ring.
We know that there are many more games that have yet to be announced in 2022 and some of the games we are waiting for may be pushed to 2023. But as of now, these are our 6 most anticipated games of 2022!
1. Elden Ring
Release Date: February 25, 2022
Having won “The Most Anticipated Game” title in the Game Awards 2 years in a row, Elden Ring is without a doubt is on everyone’s top of the list of games to play. Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin formed an unlikely alliance to bring to life this open-world RPG.
Set in a medieval fantasy land filled with rich lore, an immersive fighting system, and incredible visuals, Elden Ring invites you to embark on a dangerous quest and become the Elden Lord. If you want to lose yourself in a rich fantasy world, Elden Ring is just the right game for you!
2. Lord of the Rings: Gollum

This year, Lord of the Rings fans will return to Middle Earth again with Lord of the Rings: Gollum by Daedalic Entertainment. Just in time for the TV series set to debut on Amazon Prime in September, don’t you think?

3. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

The long-awaited Avatar game is finally on the horizon is set to release in 2022. Even though Avatar movies rarely release on time, we hope we’ll get the chance to return to Pandora on PC this year.
In the game, players will take control of the Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a place we haven’t seen before in Pandora. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a standalone story where we’ll go back to the living and reactive world of the Na’vi which is inhabited by unique creatures. 6. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Now, it is time to go back to a galaxy far, far away and immerse yourself in the LEGO-fied version of the Star Wars universe.
The upcoming Lego-themed action-adventure Star Wars game will adapt all nine films. Players will be able to start the game from any of the three Skywalker trilogies and complete them in any order they want. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will also feature planets that every Star Wars fan is familiar with such as Naboo, Tatooine, and Mustafar.
