When Nixxes Software and Insomniac Games announced that they been working on The Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, it has become one of the most anticipated games of this year. Fans all around the world have been waiting patiently to learn about what the game will bring and we finally have an answer but before we go further, let us say that it was definitely worth the wait because the new features are totally mesmerizing. Just like the PS version, Spider-Man Remastered concentrates around an original story where Peter Parker’s and Spider-Man's worlds intersect. In this action-packed narrative that takes place in the Marvel’s troubled New York, we see an experienced Peter Parker trying to balance out his career and personal life while doing his best to protect the city from iconic villains.

After eight years behind his mask, Peter has become a true crime-fighting master yet the epic collision of both of his worlds will cause Peter to struggle. During his internal chaos we are represented with iconic, unique characters from his past as well as experiencing great improvisational combat, dynamic acrobatics, fluid urban traversal and environmental interactions in the gameplay. But that’s not it, Spider-Man Remastered offers a perfect view of the city that we can explore by swinging through the vibrant neighborhoods of New York. Along with the original story, remastered version also includes Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City Never Sleeps, the three story chapters with additional missions and exciting challenges.

As for the new PC exclusive improvements, the goal was to make the game a visual stunner which meant allowing PC users with varying hardware to have extensive configurability as well as presenting new techniques and tools to to take things a step further as the Core Technology Director of Insomniac Games, Mike Fitzgerald stated. NVIDIA DLSS improves graphics performance by utilizing specialized Tensor Core AI processors specifically on GeForce RTX GPUs, increasing frame rates while maintaining picture quality.

NVIDIA DLAA is an AI-based anti-aliasing mode for GeForce RTX users with more GPU headroom and a desire for improved image quality.

Another great aspect is that the game supports a wide range of display ratios such as ultrawide 21:9 and panoramic 32:9, along with NVIDIA Surround multi-monitor setups. In terms of enhanced visuals, there will be unlocked frame rates, improved shadows and ray-traced shadows for those with hardware that supports them.

Ray-traced shadows improve everything they touch such as breath-taking moments of the sky and Fisk Tower’s interiors that are filled with modern lights. When combined with the fidelity mode, ray-traced shadows create the most beautiful views of New York even while performing common tasks like a car chase which turns into a stunning light show at Times Square.

Besides all of the graphical features that we just stated there is one more thing! Now PC players will be able to sense what it is like to be Spider-Man in real life with PlayStation DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive trigger feedback and haptic response. For those of you who prefer mouse and keyboard will also get to experience a completely different customizable control option. In addition, Steam Input support offers numerous remapping options and multiple accessibility features for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
